Dear Jobs...

Dear People Looking for CNA's,

There are about 100 of you who are looking for CNA's with 6 month's experience and not one single job looking for someone with no experience. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET EXPERIENCE IF NO ONE WILL HIRE ME IF I DON"T HAVE EXPERIENCE?????

Love,

Soon to be jobless and poor me.

When I was looking to become a CNA for nursing school, there was a local nursing home that offered a CNA program. They did a paid (not very well by the way) training and then you took the state CNA exam after the training was complete. You were then hired on full time as a CNA (and paid at least a little more). If you can find something like that in your area, you can at least get your foot in the door and then move onto something else once you have the experience. I agree though, it is really annoying when everyone wants experience, but there is no way to get the experience. Good luck if you do choose the nursing home route though - that was the worst job I have ever had in my entire life. Kudos to those that can do that for a career. I only lasted a few months. Definitely would have stuck to hospital or something else if I went back.
