Despite the fact that the class is labelled "beginning soccer" only one person in the class had never played soccer. So the games we played were actually quite interesting. I was one of only five girls in the class which also made things interesting. I know I should be all gung ho about girl power and say that girls can be just as good as boys... but after my many years studying anatomy and physiology I know that boys are just more athletic than girls. It was definitely intimidating trying to defend some of the 6'2", 200lb boys coming full speed at me. I managed to make it through the class with only one injury on my knee from tackling a guy, Haha.
I guess I impressed some of the boys in my class and I was actually invited to play on their BYU intramural soccer team. We started the season late and only got to play in two games before playoffs started. We lost in the first round. It was such a frustrating game. After palying organized soccer for over 10 years playing boot ball like 2nd graders is no fun. We ended up losing in the last 30 secs of overtime due to the fact that the other team got the ball when they were offsides and scored (BYU intramural refs don't know what offsides is... retards). But I am still glad I took the class and played on the team. I am also signed up to take intermediate soccer in the fall. Party!
Oh and my only fan Brian came to all of my games and took some pictures of the playoff game. :-)
I am the one in the gray shorts and black socks...

Next I want to see picture of your survival hike! Maybe not the killing the chicken part.
KENNA! Love your blog, and now I am going to stalk you! I loved playing intramural soccer! We won the first round of playoffs via forfeit (that was the only game we won all season) and made it to the semi-finals and lost pretty viciously. So fun!
